His comments came after Google hit pause on its Gemini image generator when users labeled it “woke”—as if being woke is a dirty word. Musk proclaimed, “I’m glad that Google overplayed their hand with their AI image generation, as it made their insane racist, anti-civilizational programming clear to all.” Now that’s a mouthful! Feels like he’s serving us a buffet of drama.

In response to the backlash, Google admitted that their AI was “off the mark” with a few historical images and promised to whip up a better version—like a chef taking a second stab at a soufflé. But it seems that’s not enough for our favorite tech billionaire.

Musk took aim at Gemini product lead, Jack Krawczyk, saying, “This nut is a big part of why Google’s AI is so racist & sexist.” Ouch! That’s a spicy meatball!
