Michelle Obama Sparks the DNC with Trump Zingers and Major Harris Love

Last night, Michelle Obama lit up the stage at the Democratic National Convention like a disco ball at a 70s party, serving up some spicy critiques of former President Trump while showering love on Kamala Harris, whom she dubbed the “heir to hope.” The crowd at Chicago’s United Center—let’s just say they were more hyped than a kid at a candy store—welcomed her with thunderous applause and cheers that could probably be heard from space.

“You know that feeling in the air?” she asked, channeling some serious Mystic Meg vibes. “It’s the anticipation, the energy—the promise of brighter days!” She then got the crowd roaring with the reminder that hope is making a comeback faster than your mom can say, “I told you so!”

Michelle skipped the formalities of naming names, but her jabs aimed at Trump were sharper than a chef’s knife. She took a stance against his narrow view of the world, suggesting he might have been afraid of the presence of an African American family in the White House. She even dusted off some of those old “ugly, misogynistic, and racist lies” that we all thought were buried six feet under. Turns out they’re just like that one friend who never leaves the party without making a scene!

With the election looming, Michelle urged the crowd to turn out in droves come November to support Harris, who could become the first Black woman and first person of Indian descent to call the White House home. I mean, if that doesn’t make you want to jump up and shout, “Yaaas queen!” I don’t know what will. Let’s just say Michelle turned that convention into an electrifying pep rally that left everyone thinking ready to shake things up at the polls!
